My memories of direct painting in Phyllis’s garden flood my body and soul with a mysteriously beautiful and joyful energy. When I’m in my studio those memories feed my inspiration to create my abstracted floral images.

The “Phyllis’s Garden” series was inspired by my good friend Phyllis, who  lived next door to me for a couple of decades. Phyllis is a Master Gardner and she worked tirelessly creating the most beautiful gardens which I had the benefit of enjoying on a daily basis. This collection is dedicated to Phyllis and all of the live garden art she created over the years..
